Vector estimates that power will be restored to all affected properties between 4:00pm - 5:00pm today. If they're able to re-route electricity from another direction, then they may be able to restore some properties before the estimated restoration time.

Vector's crew is in the area investigating to find the cause of the outage. Not all faults are easy to locate, and sometimes it can take a while to find the problem. In some cases, before the fault can be repaired, our crew may need to wait for additional crews to help such as arborists or traffic management. If the fault cannot be resolved straightaway, we'll aim to provide an estimated restoration time. If we're able to re-route electricity from another direction, then we may be able to restore some properties before the estimated restoration time.

Vector reports that the part of the outage affecting Mill Road and surrounding roads has been resolved. This should result in the Smart Net networks in Takanini now having power. Parts of Papakura, Ardmore and Clevedon remain without power.
